What is the Auburn University® ASSP Safety Convention?

Join us on April 3, 2026, for a day of discovery, collaboration, and professional growth at Alabama’s premier engineering venue, Auburn University®. The 1st Annual Auburn University® ASSP Safety Convention brings together industry professionals, academic researchers, and students to advance workplace safety through meaningful collaboration between industry and academia. As Alabama’s leading gathering of safety, ergonomics, and human factors professionals, this statewide convention offers a unique opportunity to explore how research-driven innovation and real-world practice intersect to shape the future of occupational safety. Co-hosted by the Alabama ASSP Chapter and the ASSP Auburn University® Student Chapter, this event highlights collaborative partnerships that translate emerging research into practical solutions and strengthen safety outcomes across industries throughout the state and beyond.

Who Should Attend?

Everyone is welcome to join us- you do not have to be an ASSP member to participate! This includes safety, health, and environmental professionals; students from any university; faculty, advisors, and researchers; industry leaders seeking new talent and partnerships; and anyone else interested in strengthening the safety community!

Are CEU credits available?

The 2026 Auburn University® ASSP Safety Convention is approved for up to 4 hours of continuing education credit (up to 0.4 CEUs).
CEUs for this event are certified through the Deep South Center for Occupational Health and Safety, and we extend our appreciation for their support and partnership in providing accredited professional development opportunities for our attendees.

Participants will receive CEU documentation following verification of attendance. Additional details will be provided at check-in.

How much is it?

General admission is $50, and student admission is $10. All registration fees include a continental breakfast and catered lunch, refreshments, a convention T-shirt, and campus parking*.

Exhibitors may reserve a table for $350, which includes two general admission tickets and placement in the convention’s promotional materials.

All proceeds support student members of and help fund future events hosted by the ASSP Auburn University® Student Chapter.

*A link to claim your guest parking pass will be emailed to you closer to the event date. The pass must be claimed before arrival to campus. Please see the parking FAQ below for details.

Where do I park for the event?
On-Campus Parking:

You will receive an email from assp@auburn.edu closer to the event date with a link to claim your Auburn University guest parking pass. Once claimed, you may park in any A-, B-, or C-zone campus parking space on the day of the event. Handicap-accessible parking is available for guests who have both a claimed parking pass and a valid state-issued temporary or permanent handicap permit. Please note: The guest parking pass claim link cannot be accessed on a mobile device. We recommend claiming your pass in advance using a desktop or laptop computer.


You can view the full on-campus parking map here. The closest parking area to the Brown-Kopel Engineering Student Achievement Center is the Wilmore Drive Lot. Additional lots within a 3- to 5-minute walk include:

  • Engineering Drive Lot
  • Broun Lot
  • War Eagle Way (On-Street)
  • Miller Drive (On-Street)
  • Lowder Lot
  • Magnolia Avenue Lot
  • Ross Square Lot

Lots slightly farther away (about a 7- to 10-minute walk) include the Magnolia/Donahue Lot and other surrounding campus lots.

Off-Campus Parking:

Limited parking may be available in Downtown Auburn. The closest recommended option is the 140 Wright St. Parking Deck ($1/hour; max $15 per 24 hours). Street-level parking near campus is also available, though most spaces have a 2-hour time limit.
